I somehow never liked the taste of Lauki/bottle gourd . I still dont understand what taste it imparts into the currys made up of Lauki, so for me it was a no-no, when I started cooking after marriage even though my husband used to get it as often as he could and I used to give it to my maid as often as possible without my husband's knowledge till I learnt that it can be used to prepare delicious Kofta curry which both of us liked.

I happened to prepare this kheer by chance, I have never had this kheer before I prepared it my own, when I chanced upon the small sized sabudana. Although first time I didn't succeed much due to lack of proper understanding of proportions but with few trials I have almost mastered it and have prepared it in different ways. Soy is cholesterol free and an excellent source of protein especially for vegetarians and hence I always try to include Soya in any form in the diet chart 2-3 times in a week. Although I love the Soya chunks curry my mom prepares using typical Kerala masala but I also liked the thoran prepared using the soy granules.
